I recently traded for a used PC through a local marketplace, but I'm getting no HDMI signal on either my TV or monitor. I tried connecting the cable to both the motherboard's HDMI port and the graphics card's port, but neither produced a display. What else should I check to figure out where the problem is?

Try another HDMI cable and confirm the TV or monitor is set to the correct input. Also check whether the graphics card or motherboard shows any warning LEDs, especially red or yellow lights, since those can point to a hardware or connection issue.
