No Sound After Waking Debian 13 From Sleep?

Hey everyone! I recently dived into using Debian 13 on my desktop and so far, it's been great apart from one annoying issue. Whenever my computer goes to sleep, I lose all audio when I wake it up. Just to give you some context, I'm running KDE Plasma (6.3.6), and my sound setup is via HDMI using my monitor's speakers connected to an NVidia RTX 3060. Upon booting, everything works perfectly, but after sleeping, the sound just disappears. I've tried power cycling the monitor and restarting the sound service, yet it still remains silent. Any suggestions on how to fix this? Thanks!

It sounds like the problem isn't really with your sound but rather with your system not defaulting to HDMI after going to sleep. This can happen sometimes when your system doesn't have HDMI set as the primary output. You might want to dive into your sound settings and make sure that HDMI is selected as your default output after waking up.

But if it works perfectly at boot, why isn't it sticking? I always have to switch back? It shows HDMI as selected in the settings, but testing it yields no sound. Is there a different setting or configuration file I need to tweak?
