No Sound on Calls or Media Unless Bluetooth Headphones Are Connected

My Samsung Galaxy A30 running Android One has stopped producing sound for incoming calls and media. Audio works normally through Bluetooth headphones, but nothing comes from the phone's built-in speaker. I'm using Airtel in India. I've already restarted the phone several times and tried various troubleshooting suggestions, but the issue remains. Could this be a speaker hardware problem, and is it repairable? I'm a student from a low-income family, so replacing the phone would be difficult.

A failed or blocked speaker is possible, and it can usually be repaired without replacing the whole phone. Carefully check the speaker grille for dust or debris and clean it gently with a soft, dry brush—don’t push anything into the openings or use liquid. If that doesn’t help, a local phone repair shop can test the speaker and connector and give you a repair estimate. Ask for the cost before authorizing the repair.

Because the speaker is the only output that seems affected, I’d have the hardware checked before doing anything drastic like a factory reset.

Back up your photos, contacts, and other important files before trying a factory reset. A reset may fix a software audio problem, but it won’t repair a damaged speaker, and it will erase your data. You could also try Safe Mode or the phone’s built-in diagnostics first to see whether an app is interfering with audio. If sound remains absent there, hardware repair is the more likely solution.

Since Bluetooth audio works, check whether the problem is limited to the phone’s speaker. Turn Bluetooth off, make sure Do Not Disturb and mute mode are disabled, then raise the media, ringtone, and call volumes separately. Also test notification sounds, a saved video, and a call on speakerphone. If wired headphones work but the built-in speaker does not, that points more strongly to a speaker or internal connection problem.

I’ve already restarted it and checked the basic volume settings. Videos, calls, and other sounds are still silent from the phone itself, while Bluetooth headphones work.
