Noticing a Warm Electrical Smell from My PC—Is It Normal?

Hey everyone, I've been using my PC for about two years and recently noticed a warm electrical smell when I plugged something in. It's kind of reminiscent of the scent you get when a heater first turns on in winter. Is this something to be worried about, or is it just a normal smell? I'll be taking the case off tomorrow to check for dust buildup. For context, I keep an eye on my temps—my CPU sits between 60-85°C, and my GPU ranges from 40-65°C. Just a heads up: I accidentally referred to Celsius as Fahrenheit in my initial post. Oops!

That smell isn’t normal, especially after two years! It could be burning dust or something more serious like a failing capacitor. I’d recommend shutting it down until you can figure out what’s going on—better safe than sorry, right?

I plan to power it down for the night, just to be cautious. Thanks for the advice!
