Options for Replacing the Side Panel on a Fractal Design North Case

Hey everyone! I'm building a budget-friendly PC for my girlfriend so she can use my Steam account and look for jobs from something other than her phone. I came across a Fractal Design North case on Marketplace, but it's missing the tempered-glass side panel. I was surprised to learn that Fractal doesn't sell replacement parts for it. Does anyone know if the panels from their mesh or glass versions are interchangeable? Also, are there any other cases that have compatible panels? On a side note, I'd really like to hear what others did when they broke or lost their side panels. An open-air case is cool, but I have cats, so I definitely need something that provides a cover.

You should reach out to Fractal support directly; they might be able to help you with a replacement. I've read that the side panels from the glass and mesh versions are interchangeable, but you'll need to find someone who has an extra undamaged panel. Otherwise, you could always go the DIY route and use cardboard and duct tape, though it's not the prettiest solution!

I actually contacted them too, and they told me they don't sell replacement parts.

If all else fails, maybe think about getting a different case altogether. It's worth considering if you can't find a replacement!

I watched a video that suggested the panels can be swapped out. Have you mentioned where you're located? That might help with finding spare parts or options.

I'm in the USA.

You could just slap a piece of cardboard over the side for now. It might not be the best looking fix, but it would keep the cats out!
