I'm assembling my first PC, but the orange DRAM debug light stays on and the system does not display anything. I've tried reseating the RAM and waiting about three minutes during startup, but it still hasn't posted. The build uses an MSI B850 Gaming Plus WiFi motherboard, Ryzen 9 7950X3D, 32GB Micron Crucial Pro OC DDR5-6400 CL32 memory, an MSI RTX 5070 Ti, a 1TB SK hynix NVMe SSD, a Thermalright Phantom Spirit 120 SE cooler, a 4TB WD Green HDD, a Montech King 95 Pro case, and a Corsair RM850e 850W power supply. What should I check next?

Check that the RAM kit is supported by the motherboard and that the modules are installed in the recommended paired slots, normally A2 and B2. Once the system finally posts, run the memory at its default setting first; enable the 6400 MT/s profile only after confirming the PC is stable. Also verify the motherboard’s 24-pin and CPU power connectors are fully plugged in.
Clear the CMOS, then try a minimal startup with the CPU, cooler, one RAM stick, and the graphics card installed. Turn off the power supply and unplug it first, then use the motherboard’s Clear CMOS button or pins according to the manual. If there’s no button, removing the CMOS battery for a few minutes with the system unplugged can work. Reinstall the battery, power it on, and give the board time to retrain the memory.
After clearing CMOS, leave the system alone for several minutes on the first attempt. If it still fails, swap to the other memory stick and repeat the one-stick test.
