PC Crashes Randomly After Upgrading from a GTX 660 Ti to GTX 1650

I'm running Windows and recently replaced my GTX 660 Ti with a GTX 1650. Before the upgrade, the computer worked reliably, but afterward it began crashing during graphical workloads. I used DDU twice to completely remove and reinstall the graphics drivers, and reseating the card seemed to help temporarily. However, the crashes still happen unpredictably—even during startup or while the PC is idle. I put the older GTX 660 Ti back in, but the system continues to crash. The power supply is an ATNG ATM 400FB. What hardware or software should I test to find the cause?

Check Windows Event Viewer around the time of each crash. It may reveal whether the issue is related to the graphics driver, power, memory, or another component. Also monitor CPU and GPU temperatures and make sure the card and all power connectors are firmly seated.

Event ID 41 only means Windows detected an unexpected shutdown or reboot; it doesn’t identify the underlying failure. Since the crashes continue with the older graphics card, the replacement GPU may not be the only problem. Test the RAM, check temperatures, inspect motherboard and power connections, and try another known-good power supply if possible. The ATNG 400FB is also worth treating as a suspect, especially if the system loses power under load.

MellowQuasar7: The only consistent entry I’m seeing is Event ID 41 each time the computer crashes.
