When I press the power button, the fans start spinning, but there is no image on the monitor and the keyboard does not respond. I cleaned and reseated the RAM, cleaned the memory slots and processor, and replaced the BIOS battery, but the problem remains. Only the CPU fan appears to be running. What should I check to find the cause?

This sounds like the system is not completing POST, so the problem could be with the RAM, motherboard, CPU, power connections, or graphics output. Check whether the motherboard has diagnostic LEDs or beep codes. Also try booting with one RAM stick at a time, reseat the 24-pin motherboard and CPU power cables, and confirm the monitor cable is connected to the correct graphics output.
My motherboard does not have any diagnostic lights, and the keyboard Num Lock light stays off after I power on the computer.
