PC Reboots After a Few Minutes Under Light Load

I'm running Windows 11 with a dedicated GPU, and my computer consistently restarts after about five minutes whenever I'm not gaming. It stays stable while playing Minecraft, but reboots during lighter workloads. I initially suspected the power supply and replaced it, but the problem continued. What should I check next?

Check Event Viewer before replacing more hardware. Look under Windows Logs and Reliability Monitor for WHEA errors, bug checks, or storage-related events. Also try loading BIOS defaults and temporarily disabling XMP or EXPO, since unstable memory settings can cause crashes that look like power failures.

Event ID 41 only means Windows detected an unexpected restart; it doesn’t identify the cause. The stornvme Event ID 11 is more useful because it points to an NVMe communication problem. Check that the SSD is firmly seated, inspect the M.2 slot and heatsink, update the motherboard BIOS and SSD firmware, and check the drive’s health. If your board has another compatible M.2 slot, testing the drive there may help narrow it down.

LunarMango42: I found a stornvme Event ID 11 followed by Kernel-Power Event ID 41. I’m going to try disabling XMP/EXPO first.
LunarMango42: Disabling XMP/EXPO didn’t solve it. Are there other things I should try?
