I'm trying to install Windows 11 on a new PC, but it reboots before Windows Setup appears. The system has a Gigabyte H510 motherboard, 10th-generation Intel i3, RTX 2060 6GB, 16GB DDR4, and a 512GB SSD. The SSD is detected in BIOS, and the computer can remain in BIOS for at least 10 minutes without shutting down. However, when I select the UEFI option for a Windows installation USB, it shows the Gigabyte logo, goes to a black screen, and then reboots. I've created the installer with both Rufus and Microsoft's media tool, tested two USB drives and multiple ports, disabled Secure Boot, and confirmed that the USB appears in the boot menu. What could cause a reboot specifically when loading the installer? Could an outdated BIOS, RAM or GPU problem, power supply, or motherboard setting be responsible?

Check whether the motherboard BIOS is up to date, especially for newer Windows 11 Secure Boot key support. Gigabyte released BIOS updates for some H510 boards that may improve compatibility. Confirm the exact motherboard model and revision, then download the matching BIOS from Gigabyte and use the board’s built-in BIOS update utility. Be very careful to use the correct file and avoid interrupting power during the update.
Since it isn’t actually powering off but rebooting, the issue may be a failed handoff from BIOS to the USB environment rather than the PC overheating while idle in BIOS. A BIOS update is a sensible first step. If that doesn’t help, test with one RAM module at a time, temporarily remove or reseat the graphics card, and confirm the USB was made as a UEFI-compatible installer. Also verify the power cables and motherboard model, since H510 boards can have several revisions with different BIOS files.

I’m not sure which BIOS version it has since the system was just assembled. I’ll need to identify the exact board revision before attempting an update.
