Question About SSD Installation in ASUS ROG Strix X870E-E Motherboard

Hey everyone! I'm looking for some advice regarding my ASUS ROG Strix X870E-E motherboard. I noticed that the M2_1 slot seems a bit wobbly since it's only secured by a pin attached to the board. It feels quite flimsy, and I've had my SSD come loose even with a little touch against the board or chassis. Has anyone else experienced this, and what can be done to secure it better?

That motherboard actually has a plastic clip that should hold the SSD in place, and there’s a heatsink that goes over it to keep everything secure. If you can, post a pic of your setup so we can take a look!

Got it! I actually have an XPG S40G 1TB M2 with an RGB plastic trim on it. Is that trim removable? I’m worried it won’t fit otherwise! And by the way, I’m still figuring out how to post pictures here, so sorry if that’s confusing!
