This is my first PC build, and I'll mainly be gaming at 1080p on a 144Hz monitor. I play PUBG, ARC Raiders, Valheim, and other AAA games, and I may also use the system for music recording, light graphic design, and video rendering. I'm buying in Germany and having the parts shipped to Cyprus, with a total budget of around €1,500, although I could go slightly higher if it's worthwhile.
My current parts list is an AMD Ryzen 5 9600X, 32GB of DDR5-6000 CL30 memory, a Seasonic G12 GM 750W 80+ Gold semi-modular PSU, and an ASRock B850M Pro RS motherboard. I'm currently choosing between the RTX 5060 and the RX 9060 XT 16GB, but I'm open to other options that offer better performance or value around the same price.
I'm also concerned about VRAM. Is 8GB still enough for modern games, or would choosing a 16GB card make the system noticeably more usable over the next few years? I'm willing to change other parts too, especially the PSU, since I'd prefer a fully modular model if it fits the budget.

The RX 9060 XT 16GB looks like the better value if the local price is close to the RTX 5060. Eight gigabytes can still work at 1080p today, but it gives you less room for demanding future releases and may require lower textures sooner. I’d prioritize the 16GB card unless you specifically need Nvidia features for your games or creative software.
That’s the main trade-off: AMD gives you more VRAM and strong raster performance, while Nvidia may be preferable for certain ray-traced games, recording tools, or applications that benefit from CUDA and its encoder.
