I replaced my Ryzen 3 2300X with a Ryzen 5 5500, but the system powers on without booting. The CPU fan and its lighting turn on, while the previous processor still boots normally in the same motherboard. I've installed BIOS version 7.20, reseated the CPU, cooler, graphics card, and memory, and confirmed there are no bent CPU pins or excessive cooler pressure. I also tested each RAM stick individually in every slot, removed the CMOS battery, tried booting without RAM, and reset the CMOS with the power supply disconnected. The system uses an ASRock A320M/ac motherboard, Ryzen 5 5500, GTX 1050 Ti, and two 16 GB memory modules. What else should I check?

Try removing both RAM sticks and attempting a startup with no memory installed. Then shut the system down, reinstall the RAM, and try booting again. Some AM4 systems can get stuck while retraining old CPU or memory settings after a hardware change.
Perform a complete CMOS reset: unplug the power supply, remove the CMOS battery, and hold the case power button for a few seconds to discharge the system. Reinstall the battery, reconnect power, and test the new CPU again.
I tried that as well, but the system still won’t boot.
