Hey everyone, I'm new here and could use some help! I'm trying to put together a mid-tier PC build, but honestly, I'm not well-versed in this stuff and it gets pretty overwhelming with all the info out there. I'm looking for a solid AM5 system that won't bottleneck, and my budget is around $2.5k AUD. I've put together a build on PCPartPicker and am hoping for feedback or suggestions for optimizations and possible substitutes. Here's the link to my list: https://au.pcpartpicker.com/list/ZLcJDj. Thanks in advance for any help!

I threw together an alternative build if you're interested: https://au.pcpartpicker.com/list/WD7mpK. Always good to explore options!
What types of games are you planning to play? If you're into competitive FPS, that might change your requirements, but for single-player games, 1080p is usually sufficient. Your setup looks great for playing on 1080 ultra settings or 1440p on medium. One suggestion though: I'd swap your PSU for something in the 500-600W range and maybe go for a 2TB SSD instead.
Thanks for the tips! I'm leaning towards playing 1440p single-player games with a focus on quality over frames. I'd prefer to stay above 60fps for titles like Cyberpunk and RDR2. With GTA 6 on the horizon, should I invest more in the GPU for future-proofing, or is that going to risk bottlenecking?
Hey! It looks like you're off to a good start. I noticed you have a 1000W PSU in your list. Are you planning to upgrade to some high-end components down the road? Right now, your build only pulls about 300W, so you might want to consider a 750W PSU instead. Also, if you have restrictions on where to buy, make sure the PSU you chose has good reviews for reliability!
I appreciate the input! I originally wanted a 750W PSU since that should provide good headroom for upgrades with the AM5 platform. I also found a PSU tier list saying the one I'm looking at is decent, but I'm totally open to suggestions!
Thanks for sharing! I'm curious though, what’s the reasoning behind swapping out the 5070 for one with less VRAM? I haven't dived too deep into the 50 series cards yet.
