Seeking Advice for Setting Up a Gaming Center with High-End PCs

I'm looking to start a business plan for a gaming center, somewhat like an internet café, that will also include a restaurant. The main idea is to have top-notch PCs in a secured area to minimize the risk of damage (like spills) on these expensive machines. I want to create a flexible pricing model based on the quality of the machines, but also encourage gamers to gather and play together with their friends. Therefore, I'm considering a setup that allows for routing different PCs to any station. For instance, if a group of players wants to use high-end PCs but sit together, I could easily direct them to one table without complications.

I've been exploring various switching solutions. KVMs are great, but most options either support limited stations or have variable latency issues, which is a concern for gaming. I've also looked at HDMI matrix switchers; however, I can't find a suitable USB matrix beyond 4x4 size that fits my needs. Other alternatives like converting USB to Ethernet seem too expensive for this singular task. I need a solution that ideally supports USB 2.0 speeds to connect keyboards, mice, and headsets without compromising the gaming experience. Basically, I'm trying to figure out a method to do this efficiently without breaking the bank. If anyone has suggestions, I would greatly appreciate it!

You might consider just setting specific tables for different PC tiers instead of creating a complex switching system. It’s a simpler approach and could save you from dealing with potential technical issues during peak hours. Plus, you’ll eliminate the USB bottleneck altogether that way.

That makes sense! However, I'm worried about maximizing my revenue. If I have multiple customers wanting high-end machines, I’d prefer to route them to one table. It seems like a better way to upsell.
