Seeking Advice on Building a $600 Gaming and Coding PC

I'm new to building PCs and am looking to create a $600 setup for gaming and coding. I've previously used a gaming laptop, but it's no longer functional due to GPU and motherboard issues. I'd like help selecting all the necessary components, including CPU, RAM, GPU, motherboard, and how much to allocate for a case. I also need to budget for a monitor and cables, aiming to stay within an $800 total budget. My gaming focus is on titles like Apex Legends, Call of Duty, and Roblox, and I also want to code in Python, Java, and C/C++ for a school project. I'm hoping to get this set up for my birthday!

Have you thought about getting a pre-built PC? It might simplify things for you since they come ready to use and are often priced competitively for the parts included. Stores like Best Buy or Costco sometimes have good deals. Plus, upgrading in the future is totally possible, and you'll learn more as you go along! Also, check out the Micro Center Discord for awesome build advice.

That's a good point! I always wanted to build my own, especially since I have a class coming up where we build PCs together. Would be great to learn early!
