Hey everyone! I'm looking for some opinions on my first fully custom PC build. I've been wanting to upgrade from my older pre-built system for a while, and I've finally saved up enough to make it happen. I took a look at various options and put together this build:
- **CPU**: AMD Ryzen 7 9800X3D 4.7 GHz 8-Core Processor
- **CPU Cooler**: be quiet! Dark Rock Pro 5
- **Motherboard**: Asus ROG STRIX B850-E GAMING WIFI ATX AM5
- **Memory**: Kingston FURY Beast 64 GB (2 x 32 GB) DDR5-6000 (considering dropping to 32 GB to save some cash)
- **Storage**: Crucial P310 4 TB M.2 PCIe 4.0 NVME SSD
- **Video Card**: Sapphire PULSE Radeon RX 9070 XT 16 GB
- **Case**: Fractal Design North XL ATX Full Tower
- **Power Supply**: be quiet! Pure Power 13 M 850 W 80+ Gold Modular
Overall, this build is about 3000€. I'm not looking to do intense ray tracing, just want to play games at 1440p resolution with high settings. I'd appreciate any feedback or suggestions for alternative parts from all of you!

Considering your budget, you can get a better graphics card like the RTX 5080 and a more efficient SSD. Plus, you really don’t need 64GB of RAM for gaming—32GB is plenty!
Honestly, I'd recommend switching to a B650 motherboard for the Ryzen 9800X3D; it’ll save you some serious cash without losing performance. Also, if you don't need 64GB of RAM, drop down to 32GB. With those savings, you might even upgrade to something better than the 9070XT! And about the cooler, a basic one should suffice for gaming. Oh, and if you haven't already, grab a rear exhaust fan for your case since it doesn’t come with one by default!

Thanks for the tips! I actually revised my build based on the feedback I’ve gotten. Here’s the updated configuration: https://de.pcpartpicker.com/list/zzQwTM. What do you think?
