I've been working on a new tool called WPress2Astro aimed at converting existing WordPress sites into streamlined Astro projects. Many WordPress sites suffer from issues like slow performance due to excessive plugins, costly hosting, and fragile setups. My goal with WPress2Astro is to extract content from these sites (like pages and posts), transform it into structured Markdown collections, and deliver a lightweight Astro project without themes or plugins—essentially allowing users to fully own and redesign their content with modern tools. I'm currently validating the idea and would love to hear from anyone who's moved away from WordPress before or thought about it. I'm particularly interested in knowing what your biggest pain points were, what features you'd expect from a migration tool like this, and what would differentiate it from DIY scripts. Additionally, there's a waitlist for demo info that can be found at wpress2astro.petipois.com. I'm open to any questions and constructive criticism since this project is designed with builders in mind.

I checked out the original post history, and it seems like this might just be a bot promoting random projects.
The original poster isn’t a bot; they are just looking for genuine feedback!
I think this project has a lot of potential! I know someone who moved their entire business from WordPress to Astro recently, and they've saved a ton of time and money since. Plus, the reduced maintenance going forward is a big plus. I can’t wait to see how you develop this further!
I absolutely love this concept! There are so many outdated WordPress sites out there that could really benefit from a clean transformation into a modern setup.

Why can't I view the post history?
