Setting Up DMARC: Do I Need a Separate Email for Forensic Notifications?

I've just set up Zoho for my business emails and am working on DNS settings for SPF, DKIM, and DMARC. I've heard that forensic notifications can be overwhelming, possibly flooding my inbox with emails. Since Zoho requires an email address for these notifications, should I create a separate email account just for this purpose? And what about the aggregate notifications—should they go to the same address? I'm pretty new to all this, especially since I work in the art field, so I'd appreciate a simplified explanation!

If you're not planning to review the forensic reports, just assign a dummy email like [email protected]. This way, it won’t affect your main inbox, and DMARC will still function properly. Try to keep it simple!

Are you saying I should create a new email at my domain? Or a random email that I don't own?

Yeah, just make something like [email protected]. It's safe and keeps your main email clear.

You could also check out Cloudflare’s free DMARC reporting service. It simplifies the process a lot and gives you actionable insights instead of just spammy notifications!
