I've heard some scary things about bent iPads potentially exploding, and mine has a noticeable bend. The screen seems fine, and there are no scratches or issues evident. I have a 9th generation iPad, and I haven't done any repairs yet. Is it safe to keep using and charging it? I haven't noticed any leaks or chemical smells, but I'm still concerned.

If the iPad is still functioning normally and doesn’t feel hot or emit any weird smells, you might be in good shape! That said, keep monitoring it. And definitely try to get it fixed as soon as you can.
As long as your iPad powers on and doesn't swell while charging, you're probably okay! Just keep an eye on it. If it starts to swell, stop using it and take it to a recycling center right away.
How severe is the bend? Pictures can really help assess the situation! In theory, while a punctured Lithium Ion battery could catch fire, it’s unlikely to explode like a bomb. I've seen pretty bent devices that didn’t ignite, so it might just depend on how extreme the bend is.
Just a tip: Make sure you back up anything important on your device! I had a bent iPad once, and after a while, the display went out and I lost some valuable stuff. Better safe than sorry!

Here's a photo of the bend: https://preview.redd.it/yl0qp6pmk32g1.jpeg?width=3024&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=8c377c03a7bf8fa0c418c10c7507ba147dbe1bc6
