I've been playing on a PS5, but I'm getting frustrated with lag, overheating, and the overall experience. I've wanted to switch to PC gaming for a while, but I'm not sure where to begin or whether building a computer myself is realistic.
My budget is around AUD $1,500, though I could potentially spend a little more. I don't need a high-end setup—just something reliable for gaming in my spare time. I'm open to buying a prebuilt system or purchasing parts gradually and assembling everything myself, and I can learn from build guides if needed.
Since I'm in Australia, any recommended parts or prebuilts need to be available locally or shipped here. What kind of performance could I expect at this budget, and would building or buying a prebuilt offer better value right now?
