I'm looking to invest in a desktop PC that will last me at least the next five years for tasks like LLM training and AI video generation. I've never built a PC before, but I'm open to it. My budget is around ยฃ3,500, and I could maybe stretch for an RTX 4090 or 5080, though a 5090 is out of reach. I'm based in the UK. What would you recommend?

The RTX 4090 is pretty much out of production and hard to find at a reasonable price. If youโ€™re looking for alternatives, the RTX 5080 offers similar VRAM to the 5070 Ti but isnโ€™t much faster. Iโ€™d suggest saving some cash and going for the 5070 Ti instead. Here's a potential build: - **CPU**: Intel Core Ultra 7 265K for about ยฃ247. - **RAM**: 64 GB DDR5 for approximately ยฃ604. - **Storage**: 2 TB NVMe SSD for around ยฃ260. - **GPU**: The Zotac RTX 5070 Ti for about ยฃ819. - **Total**: Roughly ยฃ2,306! You can find the full list on PCPartPicker.

BuildBuddy99: That's a solid recommendation! Just to add, if you'll be doing serious LLM training, you'll want that VRAM. A 16GB GPU might restrict you, so look into options that could offer more. Also, consider increasing your RAM to at least 64GB for smoother video generation!
