Should I Build or Buy a Prebuilt Gaming PC for My Son?

I've been looking into building a gaming PC for my son, but as a total newbie, I'm feeling a bit lost. I've tried pricing out different parts on PC Part Picker, but I can't seem to get a better deal than an MSI Codex Z2 prebuilt system. Is there something I might be missing, or a better approach I could take? Any help would be greatly appreciated!

It looks like that prebuilt is a solid option! But what kind of games does your son want to play and on what monitor? You might not need to go all out. Also, checking for used graphics cards and other parts could save you some cash. Let us know what games he’s interested in, and we can help you find something that's budget-friendly!

He’s 13 and really excited about getting his first gaming PC. He’s mentioned wanting to play Halo Master Chief Collection and PUBG among others.
