I'm trying to decide between getting a used 3080 Ti Founder's Edition, which I can find for about $380-$400, or a used 5070 for $550. The performance of the 5070 seems kind of marginal, with only a 5-10% boost over the 3080 Ti. My current setup includes an RX 480 4GB, a 9900KF, 16GB of DDR4 RAM, and a 2TB NVMe SSD. I like to stream and record videos for Twitch and YouTube, so I need something that performs well with that. I mainly play indie games at 1080p on a 1440p monitor with a refresh rate of 144Hz, so I'm not into heavy games like Cyberpunk. I've also heard the 5 series has better encoding software for projects in Adobe Premiere and After Effects. Any advice?

I would lean towards the 5070. Although the performance is similar to the 3080 Ti, it’s newer, which generally means better longevity and support. Plus, it has features like DLSS Frame Generation, which could be a game-changer for your streaming needs.

Yeah, I’m actually waiting for the 6000 series to drop before I upgrade, but I get your point. Just hoping the resale value stays decent for the 3080 Ti or 5070 when the newer models come out.
