Hey everyone! I found a used RX 6800 for around €250 (about 2650 SEK) and I'm wondering if it's a good deal. Here are my current specs: I'm running an RX 5700 XT with a Ryzen 5 3600 (I know a newer CPU would help a lot—I'm considering the 5700X3D or the 5800). I have a 650W PSU and 24GB of DDR4 RAM running at 2666MHz (though it only boots at 2400MHz without issues). My monitor is a Xiaomi 34" 1440p 144Hz ultrawide. Would love your thoughts and suggestions!

That's an awesome price for the RX 6800, I’d go for it! For the CPU, I’d recommend picking up a 5700X3D soon since stocks are running low if you plan on upgrading soon.

Thanks for the answer! I’m definitely going to grab that 6800. It’s a bummer they’re discontinuing the X3D chips for AM4, though. Here in Sweden, the 5700X3D is around $280—might look for a used 5700 or 5800 instead.

€250 for a RX 6800 is a fantastic deal! Sure, your Ryzen 3600 might bottleneck it a bit at 1440p ultrawide, but you'll definitely notice a nice performance boost over the 5700 XT. Plus, that 16GB of VRAM will be great for future games at your resolution. I'd say go for the 6800 and think about upgrading to a 5700X or 5800X3D later when the time is right. Also, try to see if you can get your RAM to run at higher speeds—2400MHz is definitely holding back the Ryzen performance.

Great suggestions! Thanks a bunch. What would be the best upgrade between the CPU and RAM? I'm thinking maybe getting new RAM at 3200MHz could be more affordable (or even free if I sell my current RAM).
