The RTX 5070 laptop and RX 9060 XT desktop should be in a similar general performance range, so the desktop won’t automatically be much faster. Laptop GPU names can be misleading because mobile versions are heavily limited by power and cooling compared with desktop cards. The laptop makes more sense if portability matters and you don’t already own a monitor or keyboard; choose the desktop only if you’re willing to spend extra on those peripherals and prefer easier future upgrades.
