Should I Choose 6000 CL30 or 6400 CL36 RAM for My 9800x3D Build?

I'm putting together a PC build with the AMD 9800x3D, and I've noticed most recommendations suggest going for 6000 CL30 RAM. However, I found a good deal on 6400 CL36 RAM. I'm curious about what potential issues or drawbacks I might encounter if I opt for the 6400 RAM instead of sticking with the 6000. What do you think?

Honestly, there's not going to be a drastic difference in performance between the two. That said, the 6000MHz option generally offers better stability compared to the 6400MHz. If the price is significantly better for the 6400, it might be worth tweaking it down if you run into issues. What's the price difference you’re seeing?

It's about $70 in a combo deal, which is pretty tempting!

The 9800x3D officially supports up to 5600MHz, but many users manage to run 6000MHz RAM without too much trouble. The lower the CAS latency (CL), the better, so 6000 CL30 is a safer bet. With 6400, you might run into stability issues since it’s a bit of a stretch for the platform. If you have to, you can always run the 6400 at lower speeds, like 6000 or 6200.
