The Ryzen 5 5600G and 3600 are fairly close in CPU performance, but the 5600G is not equivalent to a regular Ryzen 5 5600. Its integrated graphics are useful for basic gaming and troubleshooting, but they are much weaker than even a modest dedicated GPU. If the total price is similar, the 3600 paired with a dedicated GPU will usually provide noticeably better gaming performance right away.
I’d lean toward the Ryzen 5 3600 with a dedicated graphics card, assuming the card is decent and not an extremely old model. Even an inexpensive used GPU such as a GTX 1650 can outperform the 5600G’s integrated graphics. Just keep in mind that the 5600G does not support PCIe 4.0, while the 3600 can support it with a compatible motherboard.
The most important missing detail is which GPU you can afford with the Ryzen 5 3600. If it comes with something around a GTX 1650, RX 570, or better, I’d choose that setup over relying on the 5600G’s integrated graphics.
