I'm looking to buy a new or used graphics card for my PC and am deciding between the RTX 2060 Super and Radeon RX 6600. My processor is a Ryzen 5 5600G. I mainly want good gaming performance, but I'm also wondering about streaming, video editing, upscaling features, and how well either card will handle newer games.

The RTX 2060 Super is a solid all-rounder, especially if you care about ray tracing, DLSS, streaming, or editing. The RX 6600 is generally the more efficient pure-gaming option. Neither card guarantees high settings in every future game, but both should remain usable for 1080p gaming for a while if you’re comfortable lowering settings as newer titles become more demanding.
The RTX 2060 Super has DLSS, which can improve performance in games that support it. However, DLSS does not make the hardware physically last longer. It simply renders at a lower internal resolution and uses AI upscaling, helping the card maintain higher frame rates. Both GPUs are still capable of 1080p gaming, although newer demanding games may require reduced settings or upscaling.
So enabling DLSS helps performance, but it doesn’t actually extend the GPU’s lifespan?
For regular gaming, the RX 6600 is usually the better choice because it offers similar performance while using less power and often costing less. The RTX 2060 Super is more appealing for streaming and video editing because Nvidia’s encoder and software support are generally stronger. Since the 5600G only supports PCIe 3.0 and the RX 6600 uses an x8 connection, the Radeon card may lose a little performance in some situations, but it should still work well.
