Should I choose the Arc B580 or the 9060xt for a budget build?

I'm looking for a solid budget graphics card to kickstart my upgradeable PC build. I've already got a Ryzen 5 9600x CPU and I'm aiming to pair it with a better GPU, like a 5070ti or another model in the next 3-5 years when prices stabilize. For now, my goal is to run games well at 1080p. Is it worth spending an extra $120 on the 9060xt (which has 16GB) now, or should I save that money towards my future GPU upgrade?

Honestly, the 9060xt blows the B580 out of the water, especially if you're considering the 16GB version. Plus, some games have had issues running on the B580, so you might want to think twice about that option. The extra investment in the 9060xt will definitely pay off in the long run.

I personally went for the 9060xt 16GB paired with a 1440p monitor, and it runs great! In 3-5 years, just look for whatever is current, like an RTX7000 or RX11000 series. I wouldn’t count on grabbing a used GPU then, especially if prices keep rising.

The B580 is a solid option as well if you're on a tight budget; it's definitely a good value card. I've built a few PCs with them, and they perform well for the price.

I’d recommend going with the RX 9060xt 16GB. The Arc B580 is comparable to an RTX 4060, while the 9060xt is more like an RTX 5060Ti. In a few years, you’ll probably want something more powerful than the 5070Ti, so investing in the 9060xt is a better choice for longevity.

The 9060xt will handle 1080p easily, and I’ve even had success with 1440p and decent ray tracing. My card can boost to 3.3GHz during gaming without any hiccups. The B580 is a nice option, but I've seen it on Amazon for $330, just a bit less than what I paid for my 9060xt.
