I'm looking to upgrade from my RX 590 and considering either the RTX 2060 Super or the RX 6600 XT. I'm not very experienced in PC gaming, but I have a Ryzen 5 3600X. My goal is to play games at 1080p with 60fps, particularly utilizing ray tracing and DLSS/FSR when possible. I've seen mixed reviews and find some of the technical jargon confusing. I'm in Pakistan, and pricing is a bit crazy here—used RTX 2060 Super is about $200, while the RX 6600 XT is around $215. The RX 6650 XT is also available for just $20 more. I need some guidance on which option would be best for my setup. Thanks!

I'd lean towards the RTX 2060 Super mainly for its DLSS support. While it might struggle with ray tracing at 1080p, the DLSS can really help boost performance. Just keep in mind that it's not going to give you that amazing ray tracing experience you're hoping for; it handles DLSS well though!

Absolutely! I set up a friend's PC with a similar build, and the DLSS really makes a difference. It can enhance your gameplay significantly.

You might also consider the RX 6600 XT and check out Bazzite for your OS. It’s great for gaming performance due to lower overhead. Just remember that NVIDIA support on Linux isn’t as smooth compared to AMD right now.

That might be a catch. Windows tends to be faster for gaming and handles anti-cheat systems better.

I'd say go for the RTX 2060 Super because NVIDIA's support extends longer with their cards, and they've promised DLSS 4 down the line. The AMD cards don’t have that support for FSR at the same level, so over time, you might find the 2060 Super more beneficial.

Honestly, you won't see 60 fps with ray tracing on the 2060 Super for many titles. If you're okay playing without ray tracing or don't mind dropping some settings, both cards should perform decently. If you can swing it, I'd suggest going with the RX 6650 XT since it offers better performance than the 2060 Super and uses less power.

If ray tracing is important to you, it's worth noting that the 6600 XT is more powerful overall and has better raw performance compared to the 2060 Super. However, with ray tracing turned on, you might struggle to keep 60fps with any modern games on either card. DLSS on the 2060 Super will improve visuals a lot compared to FSR on the AMD card.
