I'm planning a new PC with a Radeon RX 9060 XT 16GB, MSI B550M PRO-VDH WiFi motherboard, 32GB of DDR4 RAM, a Corsair RM650 power supply, a 1TB Gen4 NVMe SSD, and a Thermalright Peerless Assassin 120 cooler. I'm deciding between the Ryzen 5 5600X3D and Ryzen 7 5700X. I live outside the United States, so availability and local pricing may be different. I'll use the PC for gaming, coding for school, and video editing. Which CPU would make more sense for this build and budget?

The best option depends heavily on local prices. Choose the 5600X3D if gaming is your main priority and you can get it without paying a big premium. Choose the 5700X if you want stronger all-around performance and easier availability. With an RX 9060 XT, the difference may be less noticeable at 1440p because the graphics card will often be the limiting component. If a Ryzen 7 5700X3D or another affordable X3D model is available locally, that could also be worth checking.
For gaming, the Ryzen 5 5600X3D is generally faster because of its large 3D V-Cache. However, the Ryzen 7 5700X has 8 cores and 16 threads compared with the 5600X3D’s 6 cores and 12 threads, so it is better for coding, video editing, multitasking, and other heavily threaded work. Since you’re outside the United States, the 5600X3D may also be difficult or expensive to find. If the 5700X fits your budget and you’ll use the PC for more than gaming, it’s a sensible choice.
