Should I Choose the Ryzen 5 9600X or Ryzen 7 9700X With the Same RTX 5060 Ti 16GB?

I'm choosing between two PCs at the same price: one with a Ryzen 5 9600X and an RTX 5060 Ti 16GB triple-fan graphics card, and another with a Ryzen 7 9700X and an RTX 5060 Ti 16GB dual-fan card. I'll mainly use the system for running AI models and LLMs, After Effects, Blender, and building machine-learning projects. Gaming is secondary, but I'd still like good performance in future games such as GTA 6. Which combination makes more sense for this mix of workloads?

Iโd choose the Ryzen 7 9700X with the dual-fan graphics card. Both systems use the same RTX 5060 Ti, so the number of fans doesnโt change the GPUโs actual performance. The extra CPU cores will be more useful for AI-related tasks, rendering, Blender, After Effects, multitasking, and other heavily threaded workloads.

The triple-fan and dual-fan versions should perform nearly identically because they have the same GPU and memory. The triple-fan model may run a little cooler or quieter, but that usually isnโt worth giving up the 9700X. Check the cardโs length, thickness, and your case airflow before deciding, especially if you may add another GPU later.

The second build makes more sense. Also, donโt choose the system based on GTA 6 yetโthe PC version has not been given a confirmed release date, so current PC performance is the more practical thing to compare.

For AI software, the RTX 5060 Ti is generally the safer choice because Nvidiaโs CUDA and software support are widely used. Just keep in mind that 16GB of VRAM can still limit the size of the models you can run. Between these two builds, the stronger eight-core Ryzen 7 is the better all-round choice for your editing, rendering, and development work.
BrightLynx26: A Ryzen 7 7700 could also be worth checking if it is available at a similar price. It has eight cores, runs fairly cool, and should be close enough in performance for a more affordable build.

VelvetKite19: AI work is my main priority, while gaming is secondary. I had heard AMD graphics cards were mainly better for gaming, so I wasnโt sure whether the CPU or GPU choice mattered more here.
