My device suddenly started showing this message: "This device doesn't support this SD Card. Tap to set up in a supported format." I'm not sure why it happened, and I don't have another SD card, computer, or laptop available to test whether the problem is with the card or the device. The best next step is to test the card in a computer with a card reader or in another compatible device. If it opens, copy the important files immediately. If nothing can read it, the card or its file system may be damaged. Only format it after backing up the data, or if you don’t need what’s stored on it.
Don’t format it yet if there’s anything on the card you want to keep. Formatting will usually erase the files. Turn the device off, remove and reseat the card, then check the storage settings to see whether it’s simply unmounted or being marked unsupported.
