Should I go for an AMD GPU or stick with Nvidia?

I'm planning to build a new PC next month with the AMD 9060 XT 16GB, but I've seen a lot of recent complaints about AMD drivers, with some people claiming that their games have become unplayable. This has me a bit worried! The Nvidia 5060 Ti 16GB is around $200 more expensive, so I'm wondering if I should switch to that instead or if the complaints I've seen are just people being overly negative. What do you all think?

Honestly, whenever I see complaints online, I think about how the happy users usually don’t bother posting. For every person having issues, there are tons who have no problems at all. I had a 7900 XT before switching to a 5080 and I was happy with the drivers. If you value features that Nvidia offers and think they justify the extra cost, then maybe consider them. But if you're not overly concerned, the AMD card should be fine!

I've had a pretty smooth experience with AMD. Sure, I spent a little time troubleshooting initially, but overall, the drivers have improved quite a bit over the last year. I say go for the 9060 XT! Just do a fresh Windows install and prioritize installing the AMD drivers right away and you'll likely have no issues.

Thanks for that advice! Just to clarify, I’ll be building everything fresh, so that should help with the drivers too.
