Should I go with an AMD GPU or switch to NVIDIA for my new PC?

I'm planning to build a new PC next month with an AMD 9060XT 16GB, but I've recently come across a lot of complaints about AMD drivers. Some users are saying they regret their AMD purchases because of issues that make their games unplayable. This has got me worried, especially considering that the 5060 Ti 16GB from NVIDIA is about $200 more expensive. Should I consider switching to NVIDIA, or are these complaints just noise?

Every GPU brand has its fair share of problems. Just this past year, NVIDIA has dealt with poor drivers. My advice? Choose what fits in your budget. The 9060XT is a good choiceโdonโt overly stress about driver issues; you might be seeing a skewed perspective from online forums.

People love to vent online, but my experience with AMD drivers has been fine. I play a fair amount and havenโt run into major issues. If games are your primary focus, remember that NVIDIA has its strengths, especially for ray tracing, but for regular gaming, the 9060XT should serve you well.

Just switched to a 9070XT recently, and itโs been great! Iโve gamed for over 500 hours with zero issues. Donโt be fooled by the complaints; every brand has had its woes. Honestly, some of it could be due to users not setting things up correctly. Just be sure to perform a clean install and use DDU when switching from NVIDIA to AMD. Youโll be just fine!

Honestly, I think complaints can be exaggerated. If people are happy with their GPUs, they generally donโt take to forums to post. Sure, I've heard about some driver issues, but Iโve personally had a solid experience with my AMD 7900XT. If the extra $200 for NVIDIA isnโt a dealbreaker for you and you want more refined features, it could be worth it, but donโt stress too much about the AMD drivers. They're not as problematic as some say.

Iโve used AMD and I can say I've had pretty smooth sailing. Sure, I spent some time troubleshooting, but overall the drivers have improved a lot in the past year. The 9060XT is a solid budget optionโgo for it! Just do a fresh install of Windows and prioritize installing the AMD drivers right away, and you should be set.

TechWhiz500: That makes sense! It's a whole new build for me, so I'm glad to hear I might not have to worry too much about drivers.
