Should I Replace My X870E Motherboard with a B850?

Hey there! I recently built a new setup using the MSI MPG X870E Edge TI Wi-Fi motherboard, paired with a 9850x3d processor and an RTX 5090. However, I'm experiencing some reliability problems that I suspect might be related to the motherboard. It all started with unresponsive clicks and keys in the Windows menu, which only a restart seemed to fix. Then, I had issues with Chrome not loading and freezing on a gray screen. I've even formatted my brand new OS and switched from Chrome to Firefox, but I still encounter problems with apps like the Xbox app and WhatsApp, needing to restart my PC frequently to get them running again.

Since this setup is new and high-end, I'm worried about these issues as I'm still within the return period. I got the X870E at a great discount, but now I'm considering returning it for the B850, like the Asus Strix B850-F, at the same price. While I know the X870E has some nice features, I'm starting to doubt its stability compared to the B850. Any thoughts?

Make sure your board's BIOS is updated and that you've installed the latest chipset drivers from the manufacturer’s site. Don’t forget to check if there are any firmware updates for your SSD too!

I updated the BIOS to the latest version from MSI before I reinstalled the OS. The SSD firmware should be good; I had updated it previously in a different build. It's a Samsung 990 Pro.
