Should I Sell My Stuff to Buy an Old Laptop?

I'm 16 and my family's not doing so well financially. I came across an old Samsung laptop with an Intel i3 processor, 4GB of RAM, and a 500GB hard drive. It's not the best, but it's cheap—around $15 in my country. I was thinking about selling my phone, an old CRT TV, and a broken PlayStation 2 to afford it. I'm also looking for work but have been getting rejected a lot. Should I go ahead and sell my stuff for this laptop, or do you think I should look for other options?

Honestly, keep the phone. You never know when you might need it. The laptop isn't anything special, but if it's really what you want, consider doing odd jobs for money instead of selling your stuff. You might also check if there's a place nearby hiring; I got my first job at 14!

I get that every situation is different. It's tough finding work, but if you can, hold onto your phone just in case!
