Should I stock up on extra M.2 SSDs right now?

I'm not in need of an extra SSD at the moment, but after seeing what happened with RAM prices, I'm considering picking up some extra M.2 SSDs to ensure I have enough storage for the future. Is it a good time to buy? Are prices likely to increase?

You should definitely grab upgrades whenever you can. Prices are likely to surge, especially if manufacturers start working together to hike them up or leave the consumer space. GPUs and CPUs might follow suit as well.

I just bought a Samsung 9100 Pro 2TB for $265, and I was eyeing the 990 Pro 2TB but the price difference was only $30. It’s definitely worth it to stock up now.

I purchased a bunch of 1TB SSDs years ago when they were super cheap. Now, I'm looking at alternatives and just got an HP EX900 for my desktop because prices are climbing fast. Buy what you can at fair prices before it gets worse—there’s always something that seems to drive costs up!

It depends on your current storage situation. I have a mix of a 2TB NVMe and a 4TB NVMe for gaming, and I still have plenty of space left. Just assess what you actually need.
