Hey everyone! I'm thinking about trading in my Samsung S22 Ultra for an iPhone 14 or 15 Pro. I've had this phone for about 3 years now, and while it was great at first, I'm facing some serious issues. My phone overheats even during a simple video call, causing it to thermal throttle. The cameras are practically unusable because of the overheating, and the battery life is really disappointing—I'm only getting around 2.5 to 3 hours of on-screen time. It's becoming a hassle to deal with constant charging and worrying about temperature issues. I know the iPhone 14 or 15 isn't a massive upgrade, but I'm hoping it can resolve these issues. I've considered other brands like Oppo or OnePlus, but in my country, support for those brands is lacking. I'm on a budget and can't stretch to newer models like the iPhone 16 or Samsung S25. Any advice would be appreciated!

Honestly, you might want to consider OnePlus instead. They're budget-friendly and I've had an amazing experience with the battery life on my OnePlus 12. It lasts forever!
I get where you're coming from, but just to let you know, I've had multiple Samsung ultra-tier phones and I haven't faced the same issues you're dealing with. Are you sure there's not an underlying problem with your specific device?
Yeah, I think it could be a specific issue. I do use my phone heavily for work, but I also noticed my battery has struggled a lot since some recent updates. Maybe it’s just my bad luck.

I thought about OnePlus too, but like you mentioned, support for non-Apple and non-Samsung brands isn't great here, which makes it tough for repairs. I totally get that.
