Should I Update the BIOS Before Installing Windows?

I'm setting up my new PC with a 9800X3D CPU and a Gigabyte B850 AORUS Elite motherboard. Do I need to update the BIOS before installing Windows, or can I install Windows first?

Definitely keep your BIOS updated for better security and performance, even if the B850 has support for your CPU out of the box. You can check the Gigabyte website to see which BIOS version supports your CPU, but the launch BIOS usually works fine as well. If it’s posted, you’re good to go!
