I'm considering upgrading my CPU from the 7600X3D to the 7800X3D for playing CPU-intensive online games like PUBG and Tarkov. The cost for the upgrade is an extra $120. Currently, I have a setup with a Full HD/QHD monitor, a 3080 Ti GPU, and 32 GB of 6000 EXPO RAM. Is the upgrade worth it for smoother gameplay, or should I stick with what I have?

Unless you're aiming for super high FPS in really demanding games or at lower resolutions, the performance bump won’t be significant. At higher resolutions, the upgrade impact reduces even more. If your 7600X3D is doing fine, you might want to stick with it for now.
Upgrading is likely not worth it if you already have the 7600X3D. You'll probably see only a slight FPS increase of about 3-5%. However, the 7800X3D does improve the 1% lows, leading to a smoother experience. If those small gains are worth $120 to you, then it might be worth considering, otherwise, I'd hold off.

That's true! I'm just looking for smoother gameplay, but the 7600X3D has been decent.
