I'm currently using an RTX 3050 with 8GB of VRAM, and it's not performing well for the latest games. Prices for GPUs are rising, and I'd like to upgrade before I'm priced out. I'm eyeing the 5060 Ti with 16GB, which fits my budget (around $580), but I'd love some feedback before making a final decision. I usually stick with NVIDIA cards, but I'm open to AMD if they don't have the compatibility issues I've experienced before due to DirectX. Here's a quick look at my current build:
- CPU: AMD Ryzen 5 5600X 6-Core
- GPU: GeForce RTX 3050 8GB
- 32GB RAM
- Various SSDs and HDDs for storage.
Any insights on whether this upgrade is worthwhile? Plus, if I should consider any other cards instead?

I'd suggest considering the RX 9060 XT instead. It’s around $440 and offers similar performance to the 5060 Ti but at a lower price. Don't fall for the higher price tags!
If you typically play in 1080p and plan to stick to that, you might find that either card works well. But keep an eye out for the 7700 XT; it’s less than $400 and gives you comparable performance. Just check Newegg for deals!
Absolutely, upgrading from a 3050 to a 5060 Ti is a significant boost in performance. You'll definitely notice smoother frame rates in newer games.

I mainly game at 1080p for newer titles, but I have a 1440p monitor. I’m not looking to upgrade my whole PC yet, just the GPU, so I appreciate these suggestions!
