Hey everyone! I'm currently using an Intel i5 10400F paired with 16GB of 2666MHz DDR4 RAM. I have a chance to buy a used motherboard, CPU, and RAM setup that includes a Ryzen 5800XT and 32GB of 3600MHz DDR4 RAM. I mainly use my PC for gaming and occasionally for video/photo editing, and I've just upgraded my GPU from a GTX 3070 to an RX 9070. Do you think switching to this new setup will make a noticeable difference? I'm especially curious about improvements for video editing because I reckon the new CPU and RAM should help a lot! Thanks!

If you're talking about the Ryzen 5800XT, I'd say go for it! The performance boost for gaming compared to your i5 will definitely be noticeable, especially since the 5800XT is a strong chip. Just keep in mind that AMD benefits from faster RAM, so while 2666MHz is okay, upgrading to at least 3200MHz would be ideal. Either way, with the better CPU, you should experience less bottlenecking while gaming!
Absolutely, you'll feel a big difference! The 5800XT will outpace the 10400F in terms of raw performance, especially in tasks like video editing where the additional core count and better architecture of the Ryzen make a huge impact. Make the switch if you can, it sounds like a solid upgrade!
That's what I figured! Can't wait to see how it performs in editing tasks!

Good to know about the RAM! The second-hand setup includes 32GB of 3600MHz RAM, so that's a significant upgrade for me.
