I'm currently using an RX 6500 XT and want to upgrade my PC. My budget is around $500, and I'm in Türkiye. I'm deciding between an RTX 4060 Ti and an RTX 5050, mainly because I'd prefer a newer-generation graphics card. My motherboard is an MSI PRO B650M-P. Which option makes more sense for gaming, and are there other factors I should consider, such as resolution, settings, or VRAM?

Those GPUs are in noticeably different performance tiers, so I’d compare their local prices rather than choosing only by generation. With a budget around $500, check whether a better-value card is available where you live. Your monitor resolution, target frame rate, and preferred settings will also matter a lot.
The RTX 4060 Ti is generally the faster card between these two, so it would be the stronger performance upgrade. That said, the best choice depends on the prices you can actually find in Türkiye and whether you’re gaming at 1080p or a higher resolution. Also be careful with the 8GB version if you want the card to last several years.
I know the 4060 Ti is faster, but I’m mainly tempted by the newer generation. I’m still unsure whether that makes the RTX 5050 the better long-term choice.
Either card should be a substantial upgrade from an RX 6500 XT. The motherboard shouldn’t be a major obstacle for a modern PCIe graphics card, but you should still verify your power supply, case clearance, and the recommended power connectors before buying.

My budget is roughly $500 in Türkiye, so availability and local pricing will probably decide it.
