Should I Upgrade from i3-10100F to i5-10400F for Gaming With an RTX 3050?

I'm currently using an i3-10100F along with 16GB of RAM and an RTX 3050 (8GB) for gaming, mostly at 1080p. I'm considering an upgrade to the i5-10400F and I'm curious if this would be a wise choice. Specifically, I'm looking for improvements in FPS stability and whether the additional cores would help reduce stuttering during gameplay.

If your motherboard can handle it, you might want to look into the i5-11600K instead. It tends to be around 30% faster than the i5-10400F and is often reasonably priced.

GamerDude42: I have an LGA 1200 motherboard, so that option won't work for me.
