I'm in Germany and have a budget of roughly €1,500–€1,800 for improving my gaming PC. Newer games such as Spider-Man 2 are causing serious frame-rate problems, even after lowering the graphics settings. My current system has an AMD Ryzen 5 5600X, Gigabyte B550 Gaming X V2 motherboard, 16GB of DDR4 running at 2400 MT/s, and an NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3060 12GB. I'd like to play demanding upcoming games such as GTA 6 and want the system to remain useful for as long as possible. Would it be more sensible to upgrade the CPU, RAM, graphics card, and possibly power supply, or should I replace the entire PC?

Start by checking the exact power-supply model and wattage. A powerful new graphics card may require a reliable unit with enough capacity and the correct connectors. Also, 16GB at 2400 MT/s is holding the current system back, so moving to a matched 32GB kit at 3200 MT/s or faster should be part of the upgrade. If the power supply is poor or several years old, replace it before installing a high-end GPU.
If your power supply is decent and not an old low-quality unit, you probably don’t need a completely new PC. A practical upgrade would be 32GB of DDR4-3200 or DDR4-3600, a Ryzen 7 5800X3D, and a much stronger graphics card. Depending on pricing, something around the RTX 4070-class or Radeon RX 9070-class could fit the budget. This would make the system strong for several more years while avoiding the cost of replacing the motherboard and memory platform.
For the best value, I’d upgrade the existing machine rather than spend the entire €1,500–€1,800 on a new build. A Ryzen 7 5800X3D, 32GB of faster DDR4, and the strongest graphics card that fits the remaining budget would be a major improvement. Just keep expectations realistic: no current PC can be guaranteed to run an unreleased game perfectly, so focus on a balanced upgrade instead of trying to make the system completely future-proof.
A full replacement would give you a newer platform, but it isn’t automatically the best value at current prices. Your motherboard can still support a much faster gaming CPU, and upgrading the graphics card and RAM would cost considerably less than rebuilding everything.
