I'm currently using a system with a B660 Mortar WiFi DDR4 motherboard, an i5-12400 processor, an RTX 3060 graphics card, and 32GB of DDR4 3200 RAM. I have a 1440p monitor and mainly use this setup for video editing in After Effects and Premiere, along with Photoshop, plus some 1440p gaming with AAA and CPU or GPU-heavy titles. I'm thinking about upgrading to an i7-14700F and an RTX 5070, along with getting an AIO cooler and a new case. My question is whether it's better to upgrade parts within my existing platform or to completely switch to a newer DDR5 setup instead.

It really depends on how much you rely on CUDA for rendering and whether FPS is crucial for your gaming experience. The RTX 9070 with 16GB might be a better choice for performance. Your upgrade plan sounds solid, but I'd recommend also considering a power supply swap. It's important to match your system's demands!

I have a Corsair RM850e power supply (I think it's the 2024 version). Should I upgrade to a different brand for more wattage? I usually play at 1440p, but I don’t need everything on ultra settings; I prefer ‘High’ graphics.
