Hey folks! I'm at a crossroads and could use some advice on whether to upgrade my current PC or buy a used PS4 Pro. Here's what I have:
- Dell Precision Tower 3420
- Intel i7-6700 processor
- No dedicated GPU at the moment
- I have a budget of around $200 AUD, but I could stretch it a bit if needed.
I'm mainly looking to play games like GTA V and Fortnite at low to medium settings. I've been considering low-profile GPUs, but options like the GTX 1650 are either really pricey or hard to find in my area.
So, I'm wondering, would it be better value to:
1. Add a low-profile GPU to my system, or
2. Grab a used PS4 Pro for about $230?
If you think I should upgrade my PC, what low-profile GPUs should I look for that would fit into my budget? Thanks in advance!

If you're considering a GPU upgrade, the low-profile GTX 1650 is a decent choice for playing games like GTA V and Fortnite. However, it can be a bit on the pricey side in some areas. I’ve seen some people recommend looking into used options or other models like the RX 6400 if you can find one. Just make sure it fits in your system’s power requirements too!
The 3050 is really good, but I think it might be around $300, which is above your budget.
Honestly, for your budget and the gaming you want to do, a used PS4 Pro might be the better way to go. It’s a solid console for those games and you can probably find one at a fair price. Plus, you get access to Sony's exclusive titles. Just check how much the Series S or X costs in your area; they might be worth considering too!
The Series S is about $400 here which is a bit steep for me, but if you can find one cheaper, it might be worth it!
Yeah, the Series X is pretty pricey as well, so it might not be the best option right now.

Yeah, but the GTX 1650 is often over $200, which can be tough. Have you looked into the 3050? It's a solid pick too!
