I'm considering an upgrade to my GPU and monitor, but I'm still using a 10-year-old motherboard and a 9-year-old CPU. Currently, I have 32GB of Corsair Vengeance LPX DDR4 2400 RAM. Next year, I'm planning to upgrade to a Ryzen 7 7700 or a similar CPU. My question is whether it's worth it to invest in DDR5 RAM right now, or can I stick with my existing DDR4 RAM to save some cash? I'm also curious if there are any motherboards available that support both DDR4 and DDR5 RAM, allowing me to upgrade gradually. I typically upgrade my entire PC every 8-10 years, so would limiting myself to DDR4 be a mistake, especially when I'm already looking at around $400 for the mobo and CPU?

Honestly, you should just go for DDR5 now. Prices for 32GB of DDR5 are pretty low, like under $100 these days. Plus, the Ryzen 7 7700 requires DDR5; you can't run it on a DDR4 setup. With tech always advancing, you really don’t want to be stuck with older RAM. Just bite the bullet and upgrade to DDR5, you won’t regret it!
If I do switch to DDR5, I'd probably up it to 64GB with speeds around 7200MHz. Just trying to gauge if that's going to cost me about $200, right?
